Why I like Pat Metheny
He was the first artist to come to Kirkland Fine Arts Center after I started working there as a stagehand. He was very nice, and of course an amazing musician!
How I met Steve Burns
He put on a fantastic show at the Cowboy Monkey a couple of years ago, not long after the first album came out. He was very nice and chatted a bit while signing our CD and posing for a pic. He could tell we were former Blue’s Clues fans, asking about our kids—which I also thought was surprisingly kind. I asked him what the giveaway was (don’t want to think I look THAT old!); he said we were either parents or Flaming Lips fans. He was right! Hadn’t heard of the Lips before Songs For Dustmites. Now I can’t wait for the next album!
